Recorder Orchestra of Oregon

We are so pleased to announce the second season of our new recorder orchestra, the Recorder Orchestra of Oregon, whose mission is to perform a variety of musical styles from the renaissance to contemporary.  The goal of the recorder orchestra is to perform at a high level of musicality with talented players using instruments ranging from sopranino to contra bass recorder.  We will also be exploring ways to do community outreach such as educational programs at area schools.  Laura Kuhlman is our esteemed Music Director with Zoe Tokar as Assistant.  The Recorder Orchestra of Oregon will NOT replace Ellen Mendoza’s established Portland Recorder Orchestra, which performs throughout the summer and at special events during the year.
