I will be leading our first session. Those of you that have them, please bring the Susato Danseyre book. Dust it off. It is a purple cover. I will have copies for those without.

This past weekend, I taught at the Seattle Fall workshop and want to bring out some of the tunes that I just cannot get enough of! We will delve into tunes from the Anne Boleyn songbook (MS 1070) with composers Antoine Brummel, Jean Mouton, and Claudin de Sermisy. From there we will look at tunes from Pierre de la Rue (Tous les regrets), Heinrich Isaac (Mon pére m’a donné mari), Orlando Gibbons (The Silver Swan) and Pierre Certon (Je ne l’ose dire). All great tunes to enjoy for an afternoon of music making for all levels.”

As usual, our meetings are open to all and any instrument you might want to bring: recorders, bagpipes, double reeds, strings and even a melodica if you have one! Bring a music stand, all the instruments you want to play, some water (if needed) and a big smile on your face because we are playing music live and together.

I am looking forward to seeing all of you. Bring a friend! All the best,
