The Recorder Orchestra of Oregon (ROO), under the direction of Laura Kuhlman, presents fall and spring concerts with advanced players from the local area. ROO performs a variety of musical styles from the Renaissance to contemporary. The goal of ROO is to perform at a high level of musicality with talented players using instruments ranging from sopranino to contra bass recorder and to showcase recorders to Portland. We hope to inspire recorder players and early musicians and do community outreach, such as educational programs at area schools.
