Hello, my music friends … as we continue our season on Sunday, April 19, 2026, we will dive into music we started this fall. My plan was to send much of the music we will be working on this year right at the beginning of the season. So you may have already copied and practiced these pieces! There is the one new piece which everyone will need: “Cloud Jaunt” by Glen Shannon. This piece is the ARS supplement to the Spring, 2026, ARS magazine, so you ARS national members already have this one too. Glen has come to Portland several times to lead sessions, so many of you know him. Furthermore, he will lead our one-day summer workshop, Saturday, July 11th; 9:30-3:30pm; at TaborSpace in SE Portland. We hope to see many of you there too. Watch the website and newsletter for a registration form.
We meet as usual at St. David of Wales: 2800 SE Harrison, in Portland. There is plenty of parking in the lot. Our sessions run from 2:00 – 4:00 pm. The music is posted on our website. Please bring a music stand, a stand light (strongly suggested), your instruments, and all your talents.
All levels are welcome. We are an encouraging and delightful community of recorder players. Bring a friend! Let me know if you have any questions!
All the best, Laura Kuhlman
